Correction
In the article "

-Glutamyltransferase Is Associated With Incident
Vascular Events Independently of Alcohol Intake: Analysis of
the British Womens Heart and Health Study and Meta-Analysis"
by Fraser et al that appeared in the December 2007 issue of
the journal (
Arterioscler Thromb Vasc Biol. 2007;27:2729–2735),
several changes were omitted by the publisher during the proof
stage:
- In the "Objective" section of the abstract on page 2729, the first sentence should begin with "To investigate the association of
-glutamyltransferase (GGT) with incident CHD and stroke."
- In the author affiliation footnote at the bottom of page 2729, Naveed Sattar should be affiliated with the BHF Glasgow Cardiovascular Research Centre, University of Glasgow, Scotland, rather than the Department of Vascular Biochemistry.
- In the "Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis" section on page 2730, the units of measurement in the second and third paragraphs should be "U/L," not "U."
- In the footnotes to Table 1 on page 2730, "SBP" should be spelled out as "systolic blood pressure."
- In the second paragraph under "British Womens Heart and Health Study" (page 2730), the first paragraph under "CHD" (page 2731), the first paragraph under "Stroke" (page 2731), and the first sentence under "Discussion" (page 2732), the term "naturally logged" should be "natural logged."
- In the legend to Figure 2 on page 2732, "whether" should be "when" (ie, "... results were virtually unaltered when data on ischemic stroke were included").
These errors have been corrected in the online version of the article. The publisher regrets the oversight.
