Correction

In the June 2004 issue of Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology, in the article entitled "Susceptibility to Early Atherosclerosis in Male Mice Is Mediated by Estrogen Receptor {alpha}" by Villablanca et al (Arterioscler Thromb Vasc Biol, 2004;24:1055–1061), an error was made in the labeling of Figure 1. The labels for the right and left panels were inadvertenty reversed.

The left label should indicate ER{alpha}+/+, and the right label should indicate ER{alpha}–/–. Also, an inadvertent error was made in the image provided for Figure 4C, aromatase immunostaining for ER{alpha}–/–. The correct image is provided below. Dark staining indicates P450 aromatase immunoreactivity in the intima, media, and adventitial layer of the vessel wall. The authors apologize for these errors.
